RE: Email

I didn't have any problems connecting with a Zonealarm (firewall) /McAfee (virusscan) combo. But if connecting doesn't even work after switching them off, I doubt they are creating the problem. What kind of connection do you have and are you behind a router?

RE: help with avatar needed.

have you tried clicking 'ok' instead of 'Apply' like Oliver did in the end?

Could you attach your proposed avatar to a message, so people can see if something's wrong with it?

RE: help with avatar needed.

<t> it wouldn't be my first choice, but as you can see, I've just uploaded Oliver's avatar succesfully. Must be some silly little detail.<br/>
<br/>
edit: all I did was click on 'upload my picture' (the link after 'my avatar'). Then I uploaded it and clicked 'ok' at the end of 'my profile' and I ...

RE: Delay Orders

<t> I've been fiddling about with this for a bit and find that on normal settings (normal aggro and losses) the delay order works as I would expect. The unit does move back when it says so. Is the retreat path for the delaying unit clear when the message that it will be falling back appears? <br ...

RE: Comparison to other games

<t> Resupply in HTTR is indeed simplified. At 0300 hours units get fresh supply without having to worry about supply lines. This has never been a game-breaker for me. The other aspects of managing forces in this game are quite enough to keep me busy. In COTA you will have to worry about keeping ...

RE: Online Play through a Router

<t> I have been able to play Alexander the Great (the first in the series) through a router. If I remember correcty, I put my PC in the so called DMZ. This means that the router no longer stops any traffic to that computer. Most routers I know have this feature or something similar. Off course ...

Have you checked the logfile? (there is a directory called logs I think) It might contain some info on what's going on.

RE: Quick questions about tutorial 1#

when you select the hq do the subordinates change color? (that's a/b/c companies and the mortar unit) This shows they are attached. If they don't they will have to be reattached for the hq to control them.

I think it mentions it to differentiate from the historical plus campaign where the AI behaves differently. I am quite sure it's playable from both sides.

Hi Mark,

I've just tried both and had no trouble at all, maybe it was a temporary glitch. BTW I use stardownloader for all my downloads. Maybe that makes a difference.
