RE: Curious if the "hex" will ever be retired.

<t> I'm showing my ignorance here but the 3-D space thing is throwing me a bit. I understand if you attempt to use a full satellite map includling 3-D elevation would be a nightmare at this scale, but, I don't see the difference the cpu calculating a TF moving from one hex to another vs. moving it ...

Curious if the "hex" will ever be retired.

This isn't necessarily directed at WitP but I'm curious why hexes are still the preferred way of charting locations and terrain.

Wouldn't using Lat/Long charts and Topo maps allieviate alot of projection, plotting and location issues?

I guess when I helped make the map. OOB, and looked at the map for 2 years it never occured to me that other players would not instantly understand the weres and whats as they watch a turn resolve. By habit I check every unit that egages in combat and ...

There are times I've gotten good reports from coastwatchers, naval search a/c and recon a/c that indicates a enemy CV or other capital ship(s) operating in a particular area. I have a CV of my own in the vacinity and would like to send all ...

RE: saddened by poor interface

<r> I hate that my first post is critical of the game but the interface is cumbersome. There is alot of information to digest, especially playing full map scenarios, which could be represented better with a graphical representation rather than everything displayed as a clipboard such as sigint and ...
