I was always amazed how many games of Risk ended due to earthquake - location independent: Germany, Texas, and Florida.

Following this thread, it seems that there is strong argument for just removing them altogether from the game. If all the PTs during the war can't sink more than 2 or 3 ships, why clutter the map with them?

You definitely can hit your own mines. The dutch in my game sank two of their own tankers that way.

Looking for another bit of ahistoric fun? I sent the PT boats at Pearl after the Jap Strike fleet. The Pts lost 6 boats and sank 1 carrier and got hits on two others. Fluke? Or do PT boats have the only US torpedoes that explode in '41?

Nelson from his caption - all the canvas interested me, but I'm sure it was plenty warm during the transit. Grandpa was on the USS Mindanao before the war in China and as a CPO on a number of subs during the war. He took some great battleship pictures during the 1930's.
