All these are great ideas.... if you are actually fighting somebody. I am choosing to live peacefully. In fact, tonight I allied with another major faction and won the game. I was at peace with everybody else.

Trying to better understand Strategems

I have 8 x Pillage strategems. I don't understand why these exist. Why would I ever do that to my own people? I have 6 x Expel Population. Why would I ever want to use that strategem?

What increases soldier morale besides increasing pay?

Overall my military units have low morale, I have increased their pay but that hasn't done enough to raise the overall moral level of my troops.

I just looked in my capital hex and it said 53% Infantry and 100% Logistics. So I clicked the reform button. The unit was reform, but with 100% of its TOE. So why did it say 53%?

Yes, but it is something that is best automated. IOW, the game should have it "built in" to make it easy.

The job of a great UI is to make it easy to carry out your plans.
