RE: cards

<t> The scenarios are designed based on the existence of cards for the human player, so the cards are part of the balance.<br/>
<br/>
Also, unless at the strategic level you have been able to buy everything, you've had to choose the cards over reinforcements. So that serves to balance out the play ...

RE: Strange Results

<r> Thebes is more the exception than the rule on this.<br/>
<br/>
The key factor is probably those archers on the walls. With them intact, its very hard to route the entire army. I've <U><s></s>only<e></e></U> been able to win Thebes by taking the flag, but many other scenarios I often win ...

RE: Replacements between battles

<t> I've found that getting all three health and rally cards are very important to me. So I usually buy those first, then full stands for all units. At that point, I usually only have enough money to train the lowest level of units. Training to veteran or elite doesn't seem worth the money.<br ...

RE: Replacements between battles

My personal style of play is to buy all the cards I want, then hit the buy all button, and then train whatever units I have money left for.

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s> Could this game be compared to The Great Battles Series (Alexander,Hannibal and Ceasar) from Interactive Magic that I have really enjoyed over this period? <e>
</e></QUOTE>

Having played both, I think the above comment by toddtreadway is appropriate. As ...
