RE: A thought for getting more players..

Been trying to spread the word on the various messageboards I frequent, but its hard to do without coming off as a total shill.

RE: Campaign mode next time around?

<t> I think the "simple" campaign idea with linked maps and forces is very good. The campaign creator would have to be able to script replacements, reinforcements and withdrawals between battles, though... perhaps with different effects depending on victory levels (or even branching campaigns where ...

RE: A question on the future of the engine

RE: Anyone remember a WWII Harpoon type game?

Clash of Steel was a strategic game a bit like 3rd Reich and World in Flames, IIRC

<t> Ripley: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. <br/>
Hudson: Fuckin' A... <br/>
Burke: Ho-ho-hold on one second. This installation has a substantial dollar value attached to it. <br/>

RE: Screenshots

Will there be a way to switch back to a more colourful and icon based display similar to the one in Classic? I could never get into that tactical display thing in harpoon II... shameful, I know [:D]

RE: Well?!

<t> So far I have noticed 2 big improvements over the earlier games:<br/>
<br/>
1) Tanks and mechanized units feel a lot more realistic. They have a huge advantage over foot units in mobility, and armored units have a great freedom of movement when there are no capable antitank units to oppose ...

Supplies

1. Do base units actually lose trucks, supplies and men when supply columns take losses?

Blowing bridges?

<t> Ahoy,<br/>
<br/>
After playing the "First Clean Break" scenario, I am missing a command to immediately blow a bridge, without waiting for the enemy to get close... is this possible? If not, why not?<br/>
