RE: Renaming Issue

Any idea when that will be? This issue is turning out to be more annoying than I thought it would be. [&:]

Renaming Issue

<t> I must say that this game has some weird issues. For example, renaming divisions and corps. I was always able to use the 'alt-click' method, backspace to erase the old name and type in a new one. Recently, I can no longer do that. The backspace key adds spaces to the existing name, while the ...

RE: Forming Divisions

<t> I find forming divisions and corps to be clumsy and tiresome. For example, some commanders seem to be designated as 'brigade' commanders and some as division commanders, but there does not seem to be any way of knowing which in advance, as far as I can tell. Often, I will choose a leader and ...

RE: Early Game Problems as Union

I am keeping my stacks under the CP penalty. In fact, that is part of the problem. My stacks can get to about 500 or so before the CP penalty kicks in, but the CS seem to be able to get to 1100+. Does the AI ignore the CP penalty?

RE: Early Game Problems as Union

<r> I understand combat power and FoW. In the early game, the CS seems able to generate stacks that are much more powerful than anything the US can create. How is it that the CS can have a stack of close 1500, when the Union can barely manage 600? Even after Corps are enabled, I can hardly get over ...

Early Game Problems as Union

<t> Hey guys, I've only been playing for a short time and have only started a couple of campaign games as the Union. So far I've gotten to about mid-1862 and have done ok in general. My problem is two-fold;<br/>
<br/>
First the massive disparity in the combat power of Confederate units compared to ...

RE: Cavalry problem

It's definately not #2 or #3. I've had cavalry fail to charge when they had a full 16 movement points and are staring right at the enemy. I'll check on #1, but I don't think that's it either.

Does the cavalry unit charge immediately when the 'charge' button is pushed?

Cavalry problem

<t> <br/>
Basically, the problem is that I am completely unable to get cavalry to charge anything. I've played a few different nations, made sure the cavalry has high morale, has full movement points available....and then sat there while the cavalry unit refuses to charge a disordered or routing ...

RE: Almost Had Enough

I will see what I can do. The only "event" that might be on the saves is the Para Bn disappearing. I was not in the habit of saving after every turn. I guess I will be now.

Frag:

I am not convinced that the air transport problem has been fixed. The game was already on v1.21 before I started the current scenario.

RE: Almost Had Enough

<t> In all 3 cases the units were being transported by air (C-47). The Australian division and 5th AF HQ disappeared while being transported from Brisbane to Townsville. The other unit disappeared while being transported from Noumea to Luganville. In each case unit fragments were tranported ...

Almost Had Enough

Does anyone know if the disappearing LCU problem is going to be resolved? In my current game (scen 4) I have had 2/3 of an Australian division disappear, 1/3 of 1st USMC division, and 5th AF HQ all disappear while in transport.

This is crazy.
