RE: Pathetic British Leaders in Malaya (and costly too)

<t> Well, for political point costs to represent political realities does sound acceptable. "allowing for a timely British collapse in Malaya" would not be a valid example of that imo.<br/>
<br/>
Now, there is a generalized mechanism once the war is underway that "standardizes" the political point ...

<t> Well, I don't have a lot of experience in this specific area and haven't used Vista, but my guess would be that you have some problem where your router is not properly handling the TCP/IP session established by your Vista system while it has no trouble with the session set up by your desktop.<br ...

RE: Jap LBA dive bombers...

<t> Is the altitude setting factored into the accuracy/effectiveness of attack missions by level bombers? If so I'm guessing that the way to represent "better accuracy through shallow dives" is simply to set the altitude somewhere in the 100'-5000' range.<br/>

RE: saving Mc Arthur

Do you actually have to rescue him? I vaguely remember from witp that even if he stays, when the SWPAC HQ arrives he's magically there. I haven't gotten that far in my AE games, but if you look on the reinf schedule, he's leading SWPAC.

RE: Carrier Repair advice

<t> Well, from my (limited) experience with AE, you can sail pretty safely with even high float damage - but I've always followed what I thought was the advice - to repair float damage until only major damage is left. So I haven't intentionally tried a lot of tests to see how lots of minor float ...

HQ for bases

What exactly are the effects of having a base assigned to a particular HQ?

The only obvious effect I see is that bases assigned to restricted HQs are the only places you can rebase their restricted units.

Anything else?
