RE: Scenarios that fit the game system the best

Thank you very much for your answers. I'll definitely check out the Tutorials from Oberst Klink and the Cuba 62 scenario. Herr Oberst, when you say slides, you mean those in the thread? Or are they supposed to be in the dropbox folder?

Scenarios that fit the game system the best

<t> I'm really trying to get into TOAW IV now. After playing around with many other pc wargames, I finally concluded, that TOAW IV is the best Investment for my time. Now I listened to an old 3-moves ahead Podcast in which Bruce Geryk and others discuss TOAW III. I have great respect for Mr. Geryks ...

RE: 4K and other Resolution Issues.

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: Navaronegun<br/> <br/> I am very disappointed by the small fonts and DPI scaling issues. I can see why this wasn't offered on Steam. Is there any patch fix to these issues yet? Even we grogs want something that actually works out of the box on a large monitor on Wi...

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: Shadrach<br/> <br/> Phil - I assume you are running a DPI scaling setting in Windows?<br/> If so the system will try to scale fonts so they match the setting. RE: 4K and other Resolution Issues.

<t> I tried some things recommended here, but it doesn't work for me. I'm running Windows 10 on a Macbook Pro with retina display. The game runs fine but the menus and hud elements are tiny. Impossible to read...<br/> <br/> The scaling options only seems to affect the icons themselves. Fonts remain ...

RE: WIF and shipping to EU, my positive experience

<t> I just got my package today! Those manuals are extremely well done! Thank you Matrixgames for this superb job!!! Also, shipping was extremely fast. It took only 3 days to Switzerland! Maybe I will receive a customs invoice, but I don't think so (import taxes are only 8% in Switzerland).<br/> <br...

Thank you guys! I'll try one of the mentioned. Concerning the AI, I'm sure it's much stronger. It just doesn't show in the tutorial scenario, as it seems...

Tutorial Scenario Question / How to continue

<t> Hi there. I just started out with WitE. I have read maybe 10% percent of the manual (in no particular order; whenever I had questions) and played the tutorial scenario together with the tutorial manual.<br/> <br/> In the tutorial manual, unit merging and stacking-up is described, in order to con...

<t> Fellow wargamers. I don't post much. But I feel I have to now. Ever since having played the heck out of CotA and since BftB has been announced, I've been checking on the progress here in the forums. I felt like everyone was really waiting for this game. Now finally the game is out, and instead o...

Menu Graphics

Hello there. I'm quite content with this remake of one of my favortie wargames. One thing I don't like is the menus. You should make a patch, which allows for different resolutions for the menu. It looks really washed out and ugly on my screen...

questions and remarks

<t> As I already mentioned, I really like this game. It has a certain charm to it. And it's challenging and simple at the same time. I few questions:<br/> <br/> 1. What would be the purpose of not sending in all the planes on a strike? In other words, why would I hold off certain planes?<br/> 2. Wha...

How to win Wake Island?

I played the wake island scenario about 5 times, but I don't have the slightest chance. My planes never hit, the japanese always hit. My planes get shot down, the japanese plane don't. Am I doing something wrong? Also, the japanese seem to attack much more often then I am.
