i have put the scen attached. Load it with editor, switch to japan, and assign one of the japan submarines to japPATROLsub mission
(which is defined at transit throttle full milatry). After some minutes, it will go at 4 kts (and same if i put rank or cruise)

transit : rank/Afterburner.

submarine go at 131 ft/ speed 9 kts (battery). After some minutes, submarine go to -66 feet, speed 4 kts (cruise).

At full speed using fuel, the submarine can go to 9 kts.

when using lua command assign unit to a mission, having some kind of parameter saying that you want the unit as escort for a strike mission. (as you can do it in the mission editor)
