Ugh, airplanes are a huge PITA

Bought the new DLC and I like the upgraded game in general. Haven't actually done any amphibious movement yet.
But OMG the plane portion is awful.
The planes are eating up all my model design discovery, I literally have 10+ plane classes and still haven't discovered artillery or RPG troops (and I ...

RE: so did combat get nerfed?

<r> I have converted it all to jpeg. <br/>
But I don't see an upload button. <br/>
I can't copy/paste it to this message. <br/>
I see an Image button but it just does <IMG src=""><s></e></IMG> which doesn't seem intuitively useful.<br/>
<br/>
As a side note, I have to laugh ...

RE: so did combat get nerfed?

ok, so this was on Hard setting. This was the first turn the tanks arrived to the units, and I changed from Ambush to Blitz strategy.

Uh, so I have screenshots saved. How do I post them? Using win 10, saved in png from the Paint program.

so did combat get nerfed?

<t> I haven't played with the air force yet so started a new game. But I am getting whipped in combat now. Against equally equipped troops, with better leadership, appropriate tactics, fully rested, etc. I am routinely fighting 8:1 to 27:1 odds battles and losing with 3:1 troop loss ratios. Frankly ...

RE: What are the consequences of Taxes and Tariffs?

<t> Income tax is the key one usually. Get that to 30% and life is good. Unclear how often sales tax helps, though I am told too much is bad somehow. <br/>
Have yet to find any use for tariffs, but presably somebody is using it<br/>
I usually zero out that area once I have good income tax, just ...

OOB bug

Latest paid version - created 2nd SHQ, OOB updated showing militia that were in cities linked to new shq were also linked to new shq. But clicking on units showed old shq. Turn later, still no change, units still linked to old shq but OOB picture showed them in new SHQ.

mystery loss of 2 OHQ

<t> So my OHQ both are suddenly gone this turn. I don't see any notices about their loss, their troops are suddenly in my SHQ reserves. <br/>
This is so frustrating in a game that is full of tiny details and innumerable reports. But there is no combat summary or history (though I don't see an enemy ...

RE: The logistic System is a gigantic mess

<t> I am definitely in favor of streamlining logistics. Currently this feels like a logic puzzle with some combat mechanics thrown on top. Too many details that don't really make a lot of difference, at least in a way that makes up for the tedium of locating every data site and then cross ...

Need explanation or hints for problems

<t> It is too hard to figure out what is going wrong. Any problem that is being reported (starvation of population, supply, logistics) should have something telling you how this occured or what went wrong. If it generates a warning it should have a way to look at what failed. (Ie. Lack of private ...

RE: Supply is killing this game for me

<t> Welcome to Logistics hell. If you are lucky it will just be a bottleneck issue (which only shows AP point bottlenecking, not actual supply bottlenecking). <br/>
If its replacements you need, go to SHQ and manually buy them and then hope they get delivered.<br/>
<br/>
If you have more than ...

RE: from one city paradise to three city hell

<t> The logistics of multiple cities is awful as there is no easy way to find your logistics "problem". You have to individually track down everything to figure out which numbers are not adding up. <br/>
Maybe there is a 1 turn delay (some assets do this when built), but nothing will tell you that ...

OMG, logistics making this game suck

<t> So I conquered my first city. Got the morale up, built a truck station, converted to Regular zone, have plenty of food, etc. And my logistics system is crap. None of my units in the city or west of the city are getting supplies (despite Preview claiming they will). Barely getting supplies to ...

RE: How do you read the bottlenecks overlay?

<t> The issue is that seeing a "black" area doesn't actually tell you what the problem is<br/>
It could be you are too far away, so a supply dump would help. It could be you have too many units drawing off that spot (so spread out or upgrade logistics). <br/>
This is still very hard to sort out ...

RE: production deliver

I have lost asset production when I lost workers, when I ran out of logistics, put a stop sign and blocked logistics.
I think I found all the ways not to produce, other than the obvious reduce production buttons.

Ok, so how do you get the higher quality stuff. Are there training camps or something later in the game? Because from early game point this setting doesn't seem to make any sense.

RE: Logistics made easy

<t> I started a new game so hopefully this will make more sense. One thing I am seeing. If you start with full council, it means you are getti g lots of upgraded models and OOB. So I made the mistake frequently of upgrading my units (standard thing for most games, upgrade often). But at the end of ...

model quality

So the manual doesn't actually tell me what this does.
Plus there is a typo on page 316; "pronounce yourself" makes no sense.

I am guessing that you can set troop quality levels when recruiting?
Though it doesn't say what the price is for higher quality.

RE: Am I a Keynesian?

Well I have sales tax at 125%, export Tariff 125%, and I am raking in the money. My corporation just asked if I would drop their tax from 1487% to 20% . . .

no mention of taxes in happiness so far :)

Am I a Keynesian?

So how deep is this economic model? Do I need to worry about how high I raise taxes and tariffs?
I see a "free Trade" card which makes me wonder. . .
I notice I only have the option to raise taxes/tariffs.

RE: Logistics question

<t> Yeah, the logistics is not easy to understand. And its not easy to trouble shoot. You just get numbers, which you then have to translate into delivery percent (ie. 200, then 180 on next hex, 160. but I then have to sort out what percent that number is of the initial AP, which only then tells me ...
