<t> I run with auto ops off. I tend to run from only a few home ports so makes checking these locations easier and easier to manage supplies and fuel stocks.<br/>

One other thing I do at the beginning of each turn is use the ships display and sort by damage. This helps pick up damaged subs ...

Are there any bases that C-87s could resupply Ternate from, Dobo or Taberfane perhaps? the little they can transfer may make a difference.

Don't forget the SSTs can also move engineers (and small amounts of supply).

Really enjoying the write up BTW.

<t> The emotional hit/drain as a long planned op comes to fruition or when sending off a risky turn. I definitely feel the tension in the few days leading up to the execution of a complex plan. My work colleagues must wonder what's bugging me. Unlike any other game the tension lasts a long time and ...

HI CR. Enjoying this AAR as much as your others even though it's only a few days into the war.

Just wondering if the KB only went 3-4 hexes as Dave needed to refuel his DDs and did this using CV,BB and CA fuel?

Check if the BBs were docked or not. You should be able to "Transfer to Ship" if the planes are not disabled and in range, but otherwise dock the BBs ND TRANSFER. The latter way will disable the planes.

RE: Nine years and going strong

<t> I'd been doing a lot of miniatures gaming of naval warfare in the Pacific but it took a lot of effort to set up games and run. I then came across the DOS Carrier Strike which allowed me to play carrier battles on the PC really easily. Then migrated to PacWar which allowed the whole theatre to be ...

Don't know the exact answer but it's worth executing the first turn as Japan and saving it so you can check the expected dates of opposition reinforcements.
