RE: The AI and Ammo Trucks

<t> Yes, there are suprises-but your point-and mine, AT guns(field guns etc.) stuck behind the trees, buildings, etc. with no fields of fire when they should cover the approaches to V hexs or intentional gaps in positional defenses etc., really doesen't make much sense. Numerous accounts of WWII ...

RE:AAA range and placement

<t> Great tips. I've found that setting crewed weapons-MGs, AT guns, IGs etc... dug in on elevations higher than the approaching enemy units(the higher the better), and set at "0" range, score more hits when they fire-especially if the approaching units have already been observed by the units dug in ...

RE: Re: Re: Artillary the key to combined arms

<t> Well OK Alby in question to your answer to the first question NO-why? 1) In reply to preferences being tunned on or off for a specific unit (concerning its ammo supply status vis-`a -vis its proximity to an ammo source), is this an intentional design or an oversight in design ...

RE: Game loaded with pink panthers

<t> I've encountered this same problem. I've found that if there's something else running at the same time like certain spyware programs or even receiving automatic updates from whatever, it will have a tendancy to go psychedelic on me. As a remedy I disengage from anything that may run at the same ...

RE: The AI and Ammo Trucks

<t> Point taken about AI and ammo carriers which is why I will do the unit selecting when going aginst AI. I'm sure you all have noticed the sometimes ridiculous placement of AT guns if left to AI auto deploy. Usually when setting up for AI I hit auto deploy, then readjust those units which the ...

RE: Re: Re: Artillary the key to combined arms

<t> 1)When I'm using German SPA rocket artillery, and keep them with an ammo carrier, is there a way one can turn off the limited/reduced ammo setting for just those SPA units with the carrier but limit/reduce the ammo for the rest of the units? 2) At the beginning of a scenario ...

RE: Just a thought

<t> OK, here's my two cents worth. I own or have seen most of the films discussed in the previous posts. While they mostly deal with specific times and events in history ( battles, campaigns and etc.), for those of us who are sticklers for accuracy, many of the films fall short of the mark ...

Artillery ammo consumption

<t> SPWaW: When using rocket artillery, what is the the rate of ammo consumption if firing the units UNRESTRICTED full capability? How much in terms of ammo dumps and/or loaded ammo carriers is required to sustain firing at full capicity before the dumps/ carriers are exhausted-say in a small map 10 ...

RE: pc?/game malfunction

Thanks for the tip, it seems to have solved the crashing problem if I disable the virus and popup blocker which run in the background.

pc?/game malfunction

<t> I submitted a question about a problem while using Wurframens on my pc(386 windows xp os). When firing Wurframens into large enemy vehicle formations the program crashes and I lose the entire game[:@]. This happens all too frequently. Some of you suggested I update my game drivers to possibly ...
