RE: Reach For The Stars (200) Updated Re-Release

<r> I just created my first scenario for the RFTS 2000 version. It has been posted at the RFTS forum page, which can be found <LINK link="http://ssg.com.au/forums/viewforum.php?f=17&sid=70f525728b387ec82801f7b5482f9afa"><s>[link=http://ssg.com.au/forums/viewforum.php?f=17&sid ...

RE: Reach For The Stars (200) Updated Re-Release

<t> I'm very happy to see the RFTS game re-released. I enjoyed playing it a lot. <br/>
<br/>
Are there any plans to add some new campaigns and/or scenario's? This will make the game much more interesting for people who already own the original game. Maybe you can ask users to make some in the ...

RE: WA not defending Afrika and India

<t> Maybe the WA does not need the resources and factories in Afrika, The Middle East and India, but Germany can really use them. So I would expect that the WA tries to prevent Germany from getting those, just to bugger Germany. <br/>

BTW, I just won my game with Germany at the end of Fall ...

WA not defending Afrika and India

<t> I am playing my first game as Germany (now in Fall 1944) and I noticed that the Western Alliance does not try to defend Afrika and India. I could take those regions without much problems in 1941/1942. The regions are poorly defended by me now, cause I need my troops in Europe, but they do not ...

Screenshot in savegame is corrupt

<r> Sometimes when I save a game and try to reload it the screenshot of the map is corrupt. Here is a picture to show what I mean: <br/>

RE: Memory leak????

I have set the graphics to low now and the problem seems to be fixed (for now). The game still looks great, so this will work fine for me. Thanks for the tip.

RE: First impressions...

<t> My first impressions of the game are very positive. It has been a while since I have been so excited about a new title and not be disappointed. The gameplay does seem pretty natural and easy to learn, but the game depth seems very high. Great work! <br/>

RE: Memory leak????

<t> I am experiencing the same problem. I hear the hard drive working hard during gameplay, and switching between the screens is very slow. It takes the PC several seconds to build up the new screen. When I exit GGWaW, Windows XP gives a virtual memory warning too.<br/>

RE: European release

<t> Thanks for the info David. I tried the store4war site, but they do not have the game listed yet. The digital download is hardly an option for me right now, since it has the same price as the retail version, but I have to print the manual myself. That will cost me a lot of extra money. The ...

European release

<t> Hi there,<br/>
<br/>
I've been following the discussion about the availability of the GGWaW game for a while. I see a lot of messages about where to get it soon in the USA and Canada.<br/>

I myself live in The Netherlands and would love to buy this game ASAP. I very much prefer a box ...
