The Blackhorse weren't expected to 'defend', rather they were to slow down (screen) the horde long enough for the rest of V Corps to settle into an appropriate GPD.

4th Squadron "Thunderhorse" was stationed at Sickels Army Airfield in Fulda and was the Regimental Air Squadron.&nbsp; I was in Bad Hersfeld from '90-'93 and&nbsp;during that time they had&nbsp;Apaches.

That particular map I got from a 14th Cav veteran who actually held onto it after using it for several years to patrol the old IGB.

I used it along with some other topos for work on another project.
