RE: AI frontline

<t> I have worked on the AI for a turn based grand strategy game and I can say from personal experience that front management is an extremely difficult problem and there is very little information out there on how to do it properly.<br/>

RE: Iraqi Oil Q

<t> Just an update. <br/>
<br/>
Finally got my oil. 15 for the Germans from Iraq and 30 for Italians from Iran as they actually took the port. Not sure what the delay was. Probably some partisan activity in various places. <br/>

But the bottom line is that it is definitely worth it for the ...

Minor Sub Glitch

<t> Not sure if this has been pointed out but whenever loading a saved game, all my subs get switched from Raider to Fleet mode. This is a minor annoyance unless they happen to be out of action points in which case they can't be switched till the next turn and risk being lured into an ambush by a ...

Hit the "T" for trades and see if you can follow the path. If it is by rail it won't show up because it can't be interdicted. It probably is damaged and repairing thus why you can't see the oil coming in.

RE: How is gaming playing

<t> Second game as Axis. Quit the first one because I didn't understand the sub rules and lost all my subs. In second game its mid July '41. I've taken Poland (one turn), Denmark, Norway, Low Countries, France, Yugoslavia, Greece, Egypt. Recaptured Iraq from Brits and took an oil field in Iran ...

<t> Hmm... so I have the 3 Iraqi oil fields and the Iranian one right on the coast plus the rail lines to the ports and the ports. I have the Suez canal and can run ships through it. Shouldn't I be able to go either around Africa to France to Berlin or through the Suez through Greece or Italy to ...

Iraqi Oil Q

<t> Playing as Axis, the UK defeated Iraq, I have since retaken Iraq (or at least I think I have as I have Baghdad and the port and control all the cities and the oil hexes). Do I automatically start receiving the 15 oil from Iraq again? I don't see it listed in the trade routes like I do for ...

That is about right. You put the HQ on the map supply level 1 as close as you can get and it extends it out a few more hexes. Then from El Alamein to Egypt it is Truck supply. You will be at the gates barely in supply but that is ...

RE: Supply for North Africa

<t> So if I put an HQ unit right at the edge of the port supply limit (about halfway from Tobruk to Alexandria) it should further extend supply by +1 for 5 hexes. Do I have that correct?<br/>
<br/>
And if I have units within 5 hexes of that HQ, and adequate supply at Tobruk they should be OK?<br ...

Use supply trucks for +6%.

Thanks. So I guess I have to just plan ahead and make sure I have extra supply trucks before I use them. I wonder why it went to 100 on it's own the first game.

Airborne stuck at 99%

Is there a trick to getting it to 100% so I can use it?
I have it on rail next to an HQ for many turns and it never quite hits 100.
Anyone else seeing this.

Strange because in my first game it did hit 100% right away so not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Pretty sure it's intentional since they're quality troops.

Yeah I believe all elite units do not have garrison option. Mountain, Para, and Marines? There are Marines right?
