Re: HQs and leader skills

Yep, I stole (borrowed?) that idea from LST long ago as well. Created a custom screen that has a bunch of the Dave Baker stuff, eng build rates, etc. IE, my lookup sheet of stuff that I'm always using, but forget the exact numbers. I suspect a LOT of us have done this ... all part of your ...

Re: TM, RA, and BTS Re-Write

Hello Sir.

I have not updated RA in years. With all the work we did with Treaty then combining the two into Between the Storms, that Mod has been the red-headed step-child. It would not take a lot of time to update it. Might be a very good idea.

So...no to the RA Update but, perhaps, YES to one ...

Re: TM, RA, and BTS Re-Write

I assume that the RA mod isnt compatible with the newest patch just released yet? Any idea if it will be updated or will I need to get a fresh install with a prior patch to play this one?

Re: B-Mod Update

Is this mod compatible with the new patch that had several map updates? The mod seems to require several map assets. Thanks!

Re: any PBEM games not start with a PH attack?

Hey Doug!

My PBEM using Scenario 2 versus Hellsenstrat (J) started with him completely bypassing PH! He caused massive damage elsewhere. The entire series is on YT, here is a link to the playlist. We are currently on 28 December 1941:

Sorry meant to quote you. I was wondering if your match is recorded by either of you?

Awesome, sounds fun. Are you recording your playthrough or is this one offline so to speak?

any PBEM games not start with a PH attack?

Greetings everyone. Getting back into the game after a few years off and am watching a PBEM game or 2 on YT. Wondered if anyone has played any such games where the Japanese player chose to not attack PH on their opening turn or did any other big diversions from history? Would love to check out a ...

RE: how much is needed

<t> Thanks all, finally broke their back and took out about 30 total units, mostly support units of course. Also trapped hundreds of bombers in the island chain between Fiji and Noumea and bombarded them into total repair and then landed a division and destroyed them all. Feels good to finally get a ...

RE: how much is needed

While I am thinking about it, what are good leaders for land units like divisions and the like? Do i want combat, assault, etc and what stats should be the priority?

RE: how much is needed

<r> Thanks for the info all. I am playing Japan. I don't recall what the enemy AV was adjusted to in the combat report, but mine was definitely lower. I did attack the day of arrival, i will remember to wait a few days in the future. My squads do have embedded engineers but I don't have a specific ...

RE: how much is needed

<t> I have 2 infantry divisions, 9 infantry regiments, 2 tank regiments, but no arty in hex. I have no idea how to check the x value of the target. The target is Nouema and I marched from the adjacent hex, very little fatigue was present or disruption. Most of these units have exp level at 70s or ...

how much is needed

<t> So i marched a force 5x the AV of the enemy (i opened the save the turn before as the AI team to double check after this result) and did a deliberate attack. All units were 100 prepared, I had plenty of supply and support. Enemy forts were only level 4. I had odds of 1 to 4 and lost 25% of my AV ...

Also how do you stop unloading troops but continue to unload supplies? Do you have 2 taskforces, one with troop load only and 1 with supply load only?

RE: attacking atolls

<t> Thanks for the tips. The allies recaptured Tarawa from me and my forward SS have sighted additional TF approaching with more troops. I would like to deny them this forward station as I have been using the method of landing and marching at their southern bases on Fiji and Nouema. My forces I sent ...

attacking atolls

I am having issues as IJN attacking atolls without taking massive causalities despite me having vastly higher AV. What steps do I need to take to reduce the losses?

RE: dealing with allied bombing

<t> Sounds good thanks for the info all. The situation is allies launching bombers from Noumea and from Fiji. I am taking Suva in a few turns so those bombers will be unable to launch from there. I am getting some AA assets moving in as well as some planes. I have a bunch of zeroes stationed at ...

dealing with allied bombing

How do I quell the masses of allied heavy bombing in the form of B17s and B24s. I have around 100 land based fighters at one base but they do little to even damage these beasts. What is the best strategy?

Healing disabled units

<t> I cannot find specific info about how quickly units will repair disabled units. For instance I landed 4 divisions just above Suva so that they could not use CDs on me and they moved several units to meet me and a lot of my units are disabled. What rate to units repair? Is it a factor of supply ...
