Re: episodic black screen events every 3 seconds.

I agree that the entire screen shouldn't turn dark but it DOES. It should happen only during AI calculations but it DOES happen every 90 seconds ( approx. ) reguardless of whatever mode I'm in, mostly when I'm scrolling. I agree that it should not affect other programs I'm running in the ...

Re: episodic black screen events every 3 seconds.

Hey Joel good buddy.....you're suggesting that there's no workaround, no solution, no debugging. May I suggest that's not quite good enough. This is a showstopper for me. I would like to see somebody look into this please. Otherwise I'll have to drop back to WITE1.

episodic black screen events every 3 seconds.

I've noticed that when running WITE2 there is a periodical event that turns the screen turns completely black and then about 1/2 second later it resolves like nothing has happened. About every three minutes or so this happens. Everytime this happens my YouTube app restarts about 4 seconds earlier in ...

so um, what do you do if you can't "register" your serial number, which you got from "My Page" as instructed?

Hi Larry (+ community)
I have reached the halfway point in the campaign and it is now turn 96 or October 3rd, 1943, and 98 turns remain .
You can access the current game file at the link below where I have established an off premise secure cloud location for game files and my research notes that ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

Wow! That's way cool beans. I'm impressed. You've impressed me impressively. I love it. I'd like to see a play by play of what you've described. I'm trying to figure out a way to capture the TOAW playback feature as it happens. Maybe using OBS or something similar. I've started a WITP-AE version of ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

There's no Jap aircraft at Saipan or Tinian so I guess the Japs evacuated them further north or something. I see some CD guns at both ports but there's the possibility of two open ports. Or maybe there's some invisible unit there. I need to check that out. That calls for a PBY strike at minimum ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

I find myself in a peculiar situation now. It's Nov. '42 , I'm in possession of Makin Island near Tarawa , a port without an airfield but an AA unit is present in case of Jap air attack. Lots of engineers for a good defense in case of some kind of surface attack. There are no aircraft present at ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

The CA New Orleans suffered a Jap air strike but didn't suffer any damage because of my CAP. They lost over 30 aircraft and I lost only 8 total. This is the typical result of Jap air strikes. I'm using my ships as bait so the Japs can strike them with these kind of results.

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

Well guys, I'm not sure what to do now. I'm at a loss as to what to do. The problem is the high density of LBA in the home islands, they are now using Kamikaze's , and I feel like I don't have enough ships to deflate his air force. I have
something like 4 BB's and most of them have damage. Should I ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

I found another B-24 unit and moved it to Marcus Island and this is the range arc of that unit. There's lots of Japanese stuff to bomb but the problem remains the LBA present in the Home Islands. I gotta get my ships to start doing a lot of airfield attacks to rid the world of Japanese aircraft ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

The Japs attacked me by air at least a dozen times last turn so I thought I'd send another, a fourth AA unit to Iwo Jima. They usually lose more than is typical for the usual air attack and now with a fourth AA unit they will risk losing even more. I hope.

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

Here's what's going on in the world. Or at least this part of it. There's a lot of moving parts and there's a lot going on. I've been attacked at Iwo Jima already by Jap aircraft so I moved all the AA units I own up there to prevent high losses and it's working so far. I'm wondering where to go from ...

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

Iwo Jima got attacked and over 800+ Jap planes filled the sky and destroyed every aircraft I had parked there. And I had an AA unit present too. Lot of good it did. I'm going to need a lot more AA units.

Just as I prophesized that the rest of the Jap stack would disappear in the next turn and it did. By the way the recent reports of an approaching "Rapture" being advertised on the web isn't going to happen. Just so you know.

Re: WW2 Grand Strategy Question SEA BASING - Pacific At War PO Version

I just noticed that the Jap HQ units don't seem to have any support squads or for that matter I don't see any command squads . I wonder what difference it would make if I did a mod that included those things for the Jap . I would be curious to try the Jap side with that particular mod.
