Operation Silver Bayonet I – Ia Drang 1 – Rendezvous With Desitny

Anyone ever played this scenario H2H? My friend and I have tried three times, the last included a house rule that the NVA couldn't move during the first two turns. In all three it was a complete romp by the NVA. No chance at all for the Americans. Are we missing something? :D

I tried this scenario and was getting whipped pretty bad so decided to look at the Lua to see how the VC were gaining all their VPs.

Looks like maybe the objectives definitions are off a little.

This is what is in the lua:
OBJECTIVES = {}
OBJECTIVES[1] = "27,72" -- CAMP_OUTPOST & SOUTHWEST ...

Still not getting any combat sounds when it's my turn. This happens whether playing the Americans or NVA. During the AI side, get combat sounds from both sides firing.

Something I can send you or try to see if I can fix this?

Is there any relationship between helicopter strength and platoon strength? Looks like a 4 strength helicopter can load a 6 strength platoon but what happens when you only have a 3 strength helicopter? I played around a little and a 2 strength helicopter can load a 4 strength platoon. But is there ...

Playing The Long Night. Couple of what appear to be issues:

1. Background Sound is fine but Sound Effects aren't. Seem to work for Side B but sporadic for Side A. Sometimes I could toggle the selection and it would work, other times not.

Hey Jason,

Thanks!! I can get the M113 in range now.

But next question: The Scenario Briefing says to get the 10/3rd to "Hill 289 (12,51)" but in the lua the event, starting line 430, says with 4 hexes of 12,53.

Now... I prefer 12,53 since I can get there quicker ;) and 12,51 IS within 4 hexes ...

I'm having a problem getting event points for getting the South Korean 10th Company to hex 12,51. No problem with the foot units, but one of the five units listed as part of 10th/3rd Motorized Rifle Company is an M113 ACAV which seems to only be able to move one hex per turn and so can't possibly ...
