RE: Chinese River Carriers

<t> I do not know any thing about "Chinese River Carriers" and the winking smiley makes me think that you may be having some fun with this, but I do know that the picture is of the USS Wolverine, a training carrier that spent the war on the Great Lakes (along with the similar Sable) so that pilots c...

Game Freeze

<t> I am playing 8 Dec Start Scenario with AI playing Japan. Everything has been running fine. However, now I am having a problem with the game freezing. After I completed the commands for the current turn and clicked the end the orders phase button, the game begins to process normally until it star...

Amphib Ops in South Pacific Series

<r> Amazon.com sent me notice of forthcoming book called <I><s></s>Pacific Express: The Critical Role of Military Logistics in World War II<e></e></I> by William L. and Sandra McGee. Apparently it is Vol III in the <I><s></s>Amphibious Operations in the South Pacific in WWII Series<e><...

Video of Enterprise Air Ops - 1941

<r> Someone else has probably already posted this, although I cannot find it if they did. Apologize for the duplication if it has already appeared. There are also links to other films that might be of interest at the page the link is to.<br/> <br/> Anyway, film was apparently shot aboard the USS Ent...

RE: Battles of the Rappahannock Front - BG Expansion

That is excellent news. As someone who lives on the map segment you showed for Spotsylvania Court House, takes the train from Fredericksburg every workday and was a volunteer historian at Chancellorsville Battlefield for several years, I am most definitely interested in this expansion!

RE: All quiet in the Western Pacific: Rysyonok (A) vs Duncan (J)

<t> Just checking in. I am the other half of the PBEM (and a PBEM rookie at that). I will probably not comment as much as Rysyonok, but will occasionally put in my two yen's worth.<br/> <br/> The quiet start was due to my efforts to rearrange the Japanese forces into a more logical, to me, set-up. A...

RE: OT - "Taking Chance"

<t> As skrewball and jerrylt2008 obviously understand, I did not post it to make a political statement. I purposely included the bits that said that this "isn't about Iraq" and is about remembering "fallen service members and veterans from all time periods", and I may add countries, since I realize ...

Willmott Books

<t> As noted previously on the forum, Naval Institute Press has reissued Empires in the Balance and The Barrier and the Javelin by H.P. Wilmott. In the write-ups for those books, it notes that they are the first and second books in a trilogy. However, I cannot find what the third book is. There is a...

John

Not particular about side or battle. Since you are doing Gettysburg, it should probably be one of the other battles.

Call to Battle

<t> Reading John and Nemo's Gettysburg AARs has gotten me interested in trying a PBEM game.
