Regions are wrong on some teams

I'm playing a 1998 Replay of the St. Louis Cardinals and I noticed that some of the Regions are wrong.

It has the St. Louis Cardinals Region set at Oklahoma City.

Baltimore Orioles set at Orlando Florida

Atlanta Braves set at North Carolina


Anyone else notice this? Does this really affect your team besides not being the real region and creating that real baseball effect?

Yeah, this has come up many times in the past. Shaun has stated that when using the Lahman DB, Puresim just assigns random regions when importing the teams. I don't think it has any affect on gameplay.

Okay thanks.. I must have missed those discussions. It just seemed odd to me to see St. Louis' region being Oklahoma.

It does seem to me that we could do some sort of mapping between Lahman and PureSim regions; that seems like a very low priority compared to some other items 'on the list'. [;)]
