Yep, there's two (sorry, makes it a little confusticating). But I want the name of the one doing rooster a tail in reverse.

I have absolutely no idea. But it looks like the mountains (?) on the right side of the pic have snow on them. That could be a clue.

The mystery ship in question is NOT:
Shigure
Sendai

I don't know what the name of the second ship (in the background) is. It wasn't named in the pic I found.

Looks like cargo ships to my untrained eye. Japanese I think.

I don't think the background gives much of a clue other than it doesn't look much like the south pacific to me.

Haven't seen the name yet, but y'all are on the right track.

And no, I wouldn't make y'all name a cargo ship. A bit too painful I would think. I take that back. There's one I'm looking for a pic of. It's got an interesting story to it, and is unique enough that you'd be able to get it. But I haven't found a non-copywrited pic as yet.

Gonna throw out a guess that it's Tenryu class...so it's either the Tenryu or Tatsuta. I don't see the second ship, only a vessel with a bridge and the rear tower. Ah well...the three stacks combined with the fact that they don't get wider at the top make your choices rather limited.

EDIT: Also, I don't see a tripod mast in the aft on this vessel, which tells me it's not Nagara, Kuma, or Naka class (Naka also has 4 stacks).
Yamato, IMO the best looking Battleship.

I'd say it is Tenryu or her sister Tatsuta.

Where do you guys see a second ship? [&:] I can see only one.
