Reminder of a Classic Utility

Post by Reg »

Some of the newer players (or oldies who just forgot ) might like to try PBEM Helper - Play By E-Mail Helper which is a utility from a couple of years back which can still be down loaded from http://www.nic.fi/~fuerte/pbem.htm

This utility takes a saved game, zips it up (if you choose) and e-mails it off to the correct opponent for that particular game. It also keeps track of whose turn it is (no more 'Is it my turn or his??') and when the turn arrives back, it automatically unzips it and places it in the saved game folder. Magic!!!

Works very well and as you can see, it can be used for a whole range of games. WITP saved game names are a bit problematic to extract as the data is encrypted but UV works well.

Hope you find this useful.
