Changing bases

Post by Toddr22_slith »

Is there any advantage of changing bases? For example, changing Brisbane from Australian to Southwest Pacific control?

Thanks,

Todd

I've never seen any advantage or disadvantage whether in WitP or AE. I guess this is for personal organisation reasons only. I use it to try to stay as historical as possible. But if you do want to change the base HQ you better do it early on. The bigger the base, the more PPs are used. Also I think you need one unit there of the HQ you want to change to.

The advantage is that you can move (airlift and strat move) restricted command units to bases of the same command.

Going back as far as PacWar, I've always changed Noumea to South Pacific since that is where I put Halsey, before the move to Lunga.
And it gave me a place to send SoPac stuff. Just my 2cents[8|].

My e-troops don't unload OVER THE BEACH anymore, see:
Amphibious Assault at Kota Bharu
TF 85 troops securing a beachhead at Kota Bharu, 51,75
whew! I still feel better.
