Case White Books

The team behind the award-winning game Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive early days of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris simulates Germany’s military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 (including also a hypothetical “Sea Lion” invasion of Great Britain).

Case White Books

Post by Bamilus »

Anyone have any suggestions for good case white books (or online references)? I already have decent material on Case Yellow but would like to get some books on Case White.

Thanks.

Just picked up the Osprey Campaign Poland 1939 this week, along with Osprey's Denmark and Norway Campaign book. I'm working on a 1/72 Pz II C which is going to be done in 4.Pz's markings for Poland 1939(#R05) so I am in a early war kick right now.

I would suggest an addition to your book list in 'The Blitzkrieg Legend- The 1940 Campaign in the West', by Karl-Heinz Frieser, after reading this book I felt that I finally understood the detail of what caused the allied collapse in 1940. Includes the proposal that Case Yellow was not planned as a classic blitzkrieg, despite what Manstein had offered, it was intended as a more conservative plan, turned into a full blooded blitzkrieg by Guderian and others, against orders
