Tracker: Critical

Post by Bullwinkle58 »

Has anyone ever gotten a "Critical" class Alert in Tracker? What sorts of things rate this? I've never seen one.

The Alert settings are made subjectively by Floyd and I ...I just looked at the code and there are no alerts -> critical at present... what do you think should be candidates for such a message ? Or maybe a re-working ?

Hmmmm. "Your capital city has been nuked. Have a nice day." ?

Seriously, that's a good question. I only play Allies, and I can't think of anything that would rate. Maybe a WC invasion?

For the Japanese, I can see going to zero HI or on one of the points accounts being a Critical. Maybe for both sides when VPs are within some range of auto-victory. Maybe 1000 VPs?

Not looking to make make-work for you, I was just worried that I hadn't played badly enough to see a Critical.[:)]

What might go in there

Major owning ship attacked / sunk or
Enemy carrier / BB / spotted / attacked / sunk

--------------------

Perhaps not critical, but it would be VNTH a list of ships that have less than full ammunition / all ammo or used ammo. It will be the only easy way to determine if you've missed a replenish

LOL ...
Yeah I think some economic & vp issues should be critical.

The first would be pretty easy to do, the second needs us to complete the op / combat report read; as we've only got the intel report reading at present.

This is next on my to-do list; should be in 1.7 although Floyd and I are still in the process of working out some memory management probs so we're on hold for large additions until we get a better solution.

BTW we just released 1.6.1 [8D]

At present we don't read in/store the ship ammo. That could be a big memory/database addition...
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.
