I'm an old school Board and Counter player at Heart, two of my Favorite Games where

Panzer Blitz and Squad Leader.
I was wondering in anyone familiar with those old games could give me some guidance as to games with a similar feel to the game play. TY for your time and trouble. BB.

For PanzerBitz type of games I suggest John Tillers Campaign Series, it comes with East Front II, West Front and Rising Sun (all three of these games were originally developed by TalonSoft back in the day, and several of the designers also worked for Avalon Hill, and there is an Ode to PanzerBlitz and Ode to PanzerLeader sets of scenarios from Alan R. Arvold).

For ASL or SL type of games I recommend Shrapnel Games Steel Panthers WW2, its the only SP game that has been in continuous developer for 22 + years (Matrix version ha snot been worked on in 18 years or so).

I also recommend Valor & Victory series.

I like second front on steam, its more 3D but really just fancy counters with animations, Its the first game i have really enjoyed as much as board games, but SP is equal
