QOL Feature request (for game in development :) ) Auto sprint-and-drift management

Post by lumiere »

Hi guys, I'm mainly active at Command forum but really interested in MNW and subsims overall (see my avatar).

So I came up with this. I think I don't need to explain here what S&D is, but many of naval simulations (Harpoon, 688I...) required using spreadsheet and manually order each speed change at navigation window. As S&D tend to be used for long transit, auto management feature may help player without going to real time during "non-action" time compression phase for speed change order.

For example, at navigation station, there will be configuration window like attached spreadsheet entering Average/Drift speed and duration. Sprint speed and duration will be caluculated and auto crew executes it.

Finally, good luck to devs. At least I can wait till 2030 8-)
