Storming cities

Post by shgenerolas »

Hi! I am a relatively new player: I've played a several scenarios against friend and we're about to start a full campaign. I feel like I've gained valuable experience in the smaller scenarios, but I still don't understand one important element of the game - how to capture cities with strong defense numbers.

Maybe you can share your experience on how to successfully capture a city with 100+ defense numbers? Maybe there are some tips and tricks that you need to know? For example, does bombing help? If it helps, then what targets to choose? Thank!

Isolate them, make sure the enemy doesn't fly 500t of freight to remove the binary isolated penalty, attack with lots of infantry & directly attached pioneer SUs. Big number defeats small number.
