Why cant I swap F2s to F4s?

The game doesnt let me upgrade any of my fighter aircraft or swap them with other models.

Is this a bug or WAD? (using the latest beta)

You need at least 21 planes to be able to replace them if your Squad needs 40 (I guess it's a >50% rquirement).

there's a one month delay for new aircraft before they can be manually changed-in

Not sure about F4s, but upgraded bombers a few days ago with no issue. Did you check you do not fall into any of the rules restriction in the manual? The unit you want to upgrade cannot have flown any miles that turn and you have to be 4 hexes away from any enemy unit.

I ran into the same question a week ago, in the manual it states somewhere in the air upgrade section that there is a 1 month pause after a plane comes into production from when you can manually upgrade a squad to it. So next turn you will be able to upgrade to F4s, but unfortunately, the theater box squads will likely take a good chunk of the built-up pool.

In the screens he wants to change to E-3 of which he has 17 in Pool. Those are starting Production in 1/1939.

We'll see if I can upgrade to F4s in the next turn (1 month rule)

As for swapping older models. A "stab" has 4 planes, and the game doesn let me change aircraft in this squadron either. (Iam at the beginning of the air planning phase, so noone has flown yet)
