Ya its seems somewhat random from what i have noticed have had attacks where some units in the same army/corps command get morale bumps and others dont. Losing seems to knock down a fair chunk of morale thought from what i have seen so its odd that winning doesnt auto bump at least 1 point just my opinion....as from looking at units it doesnt seem they auto gain 1 it seems random.
One of the issues is that I haven't touched the game since release. But I had used it enough to remember, and I have a good memory. As far as I recall, the morale gain was 1 point consistently, and this is why was surprised that now I was receiving so often 2 or 3 points gains per combat. Thus, I checked the manual.
I would assume that some point in time, the morale gain was 1 point per combat and that at the time, the manual was accurate. Since then probably the code has changed.
So, IMHO, what would be needed should be to update the manual.
Note: there is no difference in the living manual.
