First tutorial: NAS Fallon

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Hi, who can explain why in the first tutorial scenario (air ops) they are two bases.

- NAS Fallon (training location)
- NAS Fallon (Actual location)

Furthermore it seems that the second one is not active ( I can't activate any planes from there). All missions are from NAS Fallon (training location)

Explanations welcome.
Thanks

Yeah, there was a post about this some time ago. I might be wrong but I think it's because in reality the real Fallon location is simply too close to RED base for this exercise to work correctly. I think the mission designer moved the Blue base further away to allow you to develop your strike plan etc.. without having to worry about them being shot down immediately they are up in the air.

I think that's it... the original version led to an almost immediate dogfight which was a bit disconcerting for a first tutorial !
