Settings for Triggers

Post by JFS737 »

I am playing and editing "Carrier Hunt". WHen I select the EDITOR>Events editor>Events> and click on "Initiate US Gerald R. Ford CSG Strike" (Or any other) it brings up the next menu EDIT EVENT and then I click on the highlighted event under "Triggers" and it brings up finally... the EDIT EVENT TRIGGERs page for this event (US Gerald R. Ford Detected). Double clicking it shos the last window (bottom right) "EDIT EVENT TRIGGER"

Now, all is good but on the right side of this pop up are 2 items "Detector Side" which is cool and "Minimum classification level".
This is a cool thing too, but on the menu, it's truncated and it's the same anytime I try to look at this window for all Events. In the pic (I uploaded a screen cap I hope) it shows "Known Type (e.g. frig" and that's it. When clicking the dropdown it shows.
"Known Type (e.g. frigate," Here it's clear there is more information available but it's truncated and I'd like to be able to see this info. It's the same in this window no matter what "minimum classification level" you select, it's truncated.
I'm Win 10, running laptop at 1080.

Thanks for any ideas or help.
(PS no information in the manual at all about minimum classification level?)

Does same for me, but I have long standing issue that effects not just that one, if it only this dropdown box and not lots of others around the game it may just need to be made larger, I never reported it myself cause figured it was just same effect I get on lots of dialogs related to other issues.

BTW Yeah I don't recall anything in the manual about classification levels either.
That said they are nothing/0 through 4. 1 is generic initial detection (a surface contact, a ground unit\facility of some sort, a air contact, a water contact), 2 is like type (it's a fighter, bomber, multirole, ddg, sub, radar, sam, etc), 3 is specific class (it's an f-22, it's a burke ddg, it's a Los Angeles sub), 4 which is most difficult and some types can't obtain (or don't trigger the trigger) can be buggy is specific unit id (you get name of the specific unit on the enemy side - "Foxtrox 1234", "Something memorial bridge").

Thanks for the details,
Maybe they'll fix this and I'll be able to see it all. They've been pretty good at fixing stuff. Minor issue in any case, but classifications should be addressed in the manual at least.

John
