Matrix Download Speeds?!?

Why are Matrix/Slitherine download speeds always so awful? I know you don't have the resoures of Steam etc, but come on, it has been stupidly slow for so many years.

Maybe it's your ISP? I get that same DL in under 8 minutes and I have a less than stellar Frontier DSL connection.

I just tried it and for me it took less than 10 seconds. Geographical location might have something to do with it? I'm in Helsinki, Finland.

Yeah, I'm in New Zealand and have brought it up before, it just whatever Matrix uses hates NZ, everything else is good, just downloads from Matrix.

However, I am unable to download this patch at all. I can download the installer, I can download patches for other Matrix games, just not this one.

And now it is working and downloading at a decent speed, 2 minutes to download. Yay!

seems it's a local loop issue, as no errors on my tries, 3 different downloads, and all less than a min
