[Save] N1 MXC

Post by ineffable »

The Italian 1st Mountain Division has reportedly fortified Niscemi. Elements of the Italian 33rd Armored Bde were spotted several hours ago 5 km to the north of town. Secure the 4 farms on the line of approach in preparation for the assault on the heights at daybreak tomorrow. Good luck Captain... the chaplain says he has a feeling you'll need it.

The first in a series of 'Most Extreme Challenge' Saved games based on the Niscemi map. Zip includes the FoW mod to make uncontrolled zones of the map appear enemy controlled. Objectives are invisible to the player though not to Signore A. Indiana. Combat mssgs are still transmitted whenever your troops capture an objective. Follow your written orders and the old man wont keep me up cussin' you out all night.

All credit to Saturnalien for the idea. Eventually, after some playtesting, each battle scenario will be a one map operation like Longstop Hill. However, instead of progressing to the next map in the op, youll progress to the next set of (written) objectives in another op on the same map. Six MXC ops are planned for Niscemi with the last being an Axis counter-attack. These six ops will be tied into a Niscemi campaign. Unfortunately, the only way to play linked ops is for them to be part of a custom campaign that makes the Grand Campaign unplayable while the mod files are installed. Single battle save files like this one dont have that problem.

Forgot to mention the .zip contains the base N1 C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst\Scenarios file that allows Force Selection and soldier inspection, and the two C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst\SAVES files, where force selection is made but N1 Deploy is paused in deploy and N1 plus 01 is one second into battle. ie. ya go to war with the army you got.
