Very cool leader photo [:)]. I think this is the first conscript unit I have seen in the game system.

I never knew there was a German para unit at Stalingrad.

Jason D Marks next book is about them.

Only one Luftwaffe division was at Stalingrad--9th Flak Division. However, 12 Axis divisions were earmarked for participation in Operation Winter Tempest (aka Operation Winter Storm, Unternehmen Wintergewitter); three of these division were a selection from the newly-raised, ill-trained Luftwaffe Field Divisions. Of these, the 15th Luftwaffe Field Division was the only division to participate in Winter Tempest; the 7th and 8th Luftwaffe Field Divisions got tied up in the Chir [cheer] River Battles with 48th Panzer Korps and 11th Panzer Division.

Jason Marks is an excellent provider of material about the Battle of Stalingrad.

Actually there was German Para battalion fighting there aswell.

His next book is about them.

Edit Actually it was one company of FJ alongside other Luftwaffe riflemen that created a unique battalion of troops who ended up absorbed into 94th division.
