I made an amazing post about my performance issues, with a video and pictures. But forum did not let me post any links and ruined a post, oh the tragedy. Well. Performance is bad...

Don't know what can I add really. Is there a way for me to post videos and pictures I took? I mean in forum, video and pictures are already uploaded to youtube and imgur. It would work better than my description.

System Specs are:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2310 CPU 2.90GHz
GPU: GeForce 780
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Page File: 7475MB used, 8361MB available
During filming game was on HDD instead of SSD. Same result.

Video was ruined by youtube, but the first 15 seconds tell it all(and last 10 seconds). Game is extremely laggy, even though galaxy size is not too big. There are 700 ships of mine in the battle, and not too many shakturi. Game lags less when I zoom out to the galaxy map, so maybe it's a 2D rendering issue? I don't know. :[

19(+2) empires and so so.

Also, I modded my game, so that warp speeds are way slower than vanilla. The very best FTL drive goes 12000 I think. Maybe it ruins AI somehow? =)

Any ideas on how to fight late game lag? Except, funny thing is, it's not even a late game. Refugees came early. =)

I have the same rig as yours pretty much, but I don't have many performance issues. That's a lot of ships maybe 800 or more? I think everybody would slow down. I've fought maybe 200 to 300 at once but not 1000. Crazy. Pretty sure that's the problem.
