Thoughts on BTR 1.06.52

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Yes, this has tailed off considerably with the work done by Simovitch. Just finished a '43 campaign and the difference is noticeable. Sometimes that turnback raid is only 1 aircraft. Clearing the autosave (000) before ending the day and moving to the next day also seems to reduce turnbacks.

It's was delayed a few weeks in the Matrix queue which gave me a chance to find a few more bugs and add some cool features, like adding more info about radar and jamming devices in the weapon database, something I wanted to do for a long time. So with that I think we should see the new patch out before the end of the month.

Even though the patch will work with old saves started with 1.06.xx, because of some fixes to device upgrades over the long run it will be best to wait until this next patch comes out before starting a big campaign. None of the combat routines were modified so the shorter scenarios and Eagle Day should be more or less the same whether you play 1.06.52 or wait for the patch.
