Either that or our Honshu garrison could all take a vacation in southern Japan, trusting that Tokyo would be left alone [:D]

Haudrauf1962 has offered to take over for Dobeln.
Should we try to crack his password or is this game pretty much decided??

Glad to hear we can move on!!!

From what I can tell Japan will hold out for another turn or even more, depending on WA determination. Germany seems to be in a position good enough to hold off any Allied attack for at least two more turns. In fact Bulge '46 was a great success, so the Allies must first put an Army big enough near Germany. Jet interceptors and Heavy tanks in sufficient numbers are cornerstones of the Defense of the Reich. Being in Spring 1946, this sounds like a victory for the Axis to me, unless something unexpected (by Axis) happens.
The only question remaining is whether it will be a Decisive Axis Victory since they do not surrender or only a Subtantive since the first high water mark was not reached. (Don't ask me how the Axis could hold out until 1946 but was unable to reach the first water mark - General staff is still analyzing the data...)

I suggest to finish this one, there are a few AAR points to pick up and we can use the last three turns to establish proper lines of communications... Last time Jan cracked the password quickly, so it should not be a big issue (unless he is on vacation?). With three turns left we will not be the hold-off for the tourney either.
Wanna see the victory screen as well...[:D]

Welcome to the war Haudrauf. I'd be happy to finish it if cracking the password is fairly easy. If not, I agree with some of Marshall Art's points although I don't think things are going quite as well for the Axis as the news Goring appears to be feeding Hitler. I'll accept the moderator's decision either way.

If we can't crack the code then I think those of us who have been consistent with AAR's should get credit for the 2-3 remaining turns.

Since we have a difference of opinions (Allies think they can still win) let's finish this game to prove them wrong[;)]

Code cracking has been done before so if Sandeman could send his last turn to Jan  - let's hope he is near his PC...

Haudrauf, if you could PM Sandeman with you Email address he can tell Jan where to send the RU/CH Password...

I don't think we have much of a difference of opinion. I'm just not a fan of tossing in the towel. You never know if it is a bridge too far until you try. Hopefully Jan can crack the code so we can finish this out.

None that I know of. But since our other 2x2 game has ended we should conclude this one asap and start the next round.

I doubt we'll finish in August. I'm pretty sure Haudrauf posted in our other game that he was going away from Aug 23 through early Sept.

And by that time all the other second round games will be done [8|]

If we want the tournament to go on, we should just call the game a marginal victory since the axis won't be surrendering until Summer or Fall '46.

Once we get going two turns are nothing - we just need to get going regardless in which game [:(]

I am leaning toward calling this a Axis DV just to keep things moving.
Are you guys all ok with that?

As I posted before, if needed, to keep things moving that is fine with me. Haudrauf is on vacation for the next couple of weeks, but since he is new to this match I don't think he'll care either. I believe Marshal Art is going on vacation soon after Haudrauf gets back so I think our next round will be delayed no matter what happens.

OK guys decision has been made, calling this game Asix DV.
I think Germany would have held out until Fall46, either way it was a great game and excellent AARs.
As requested both sides will gain AARpoins for SP, SU, FA 46 as I have no doubt you guys would have posted them.
Both teams have a replacement player on the team and that player will recieve the same AAR points as his teamate for this game.

Marshall Art 27 x .25 = 6.75
Sandman -----------------6.75

BoerWar 30 x .25 = 7.5
Haudruf1962---------7.5

Good Game and happy hunting in future rounds.
