Has this city been spelled wrong?

I was playing the "West Coast USA" scenario to get my Red Dawn fix and right beside Albuquerque this city is to the right...now look at the name of it in the menu:

I think I rolled over a rabbit when I was counterattacking the  Germans around that area

Well, on the Kursk map, Ponyri is spelled "Ponyn"... So why not "Stana Fe"?
