Upgrades and Models ?

Do upgrade techs like advanced sensors or hyper explosive ammo need new models to be applied or are they retroactive ? I remember lineer techs not being retroactive so wanted to make sure if I need to design new models or just continue using current ones.

As a general rule, they need a new model. Radiation Filters is the exception that gets deployed across your entire regime for free.
Not affiliated with Slitherine. They added it to my name when they merged the Slitherine and Matrix account systems.

Thank you. A tooltip for these techs would be nice as one or two of them have it and others don't.

This gets confusing. The techs do need better descriptions and the scope of improvements and upgrades should be better defined.
