Purchased units delay

Post by pjg100 »

Since upgrading to v1.08, I have noticed that purchased units appear to arrive with a delay keyed to number of turns rather than number of months. FREX, during the 8/21/1915 turn I purchased a maritime bomber, which should take six turns (i.e., to mid-February 1916). Instead, the unit is slated to arrive 1/1/1916. Similarly, when buying an Inf corp, the unit is slated to arrive 10/9/1915, rather than three months later (mid-November 1915). Notably, none of these were purchases of previously-destroyed units; they were all "new" units that would have the full entry delay. Is this WAD?

You are right, though it was in the game prior to v1.08.

The campaigns are currently set to a delay in Turns rather than Months, I don't know how this happened but I will be fixing it in the next patch.

Hi Bill. Would be great if you could provide an update on when the next patch will be released, thanks.

It's in the scenario settings (Country Data -> Production Delay Data); on the Call to Arms scenario it's set to turns right now.

You can't actually edit the Call to Arms scenario directly, but it you want a workaround until the next update changes it, you can open Call to Arms in the Editor and do a "Save As" with whatever name you want. Then you can change the setting in the User Mod copy. Despite appearances, it doesn't seem to be a per-country setting but rather global (if you change it for UK and save, it will also be changed for all other countries from what I can tell):

It'll be fixed in the next update, which we are just finishing preparing now to send off to Slitherine for packaging. So hopefully it won't take too long before it's out.
