USA units not able to board transports out of Boston or hex Nth of New York

Post by HarrySmith »

Hi guys,
There seems to be some kind of a glitch that isn't allowing US Art unit to transport ( though sitting in Boston hex) or the anti Tank unit in hex immediately Between New York and Boston. Normally you can. I was able to transport out of Norfolk . I have 10 transport spots still available so it isn't due to that.

Hi Harry..this is probably a bug that was introduced with the latest patches for WiE and WaW concerning bad weather on town hexes adjacent to a port.
It came up quick the day the changelogs were posted in the WiE forum: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 4&t=400501

Also here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 7&t=400609

And this: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 7&t=400893

A bunch of us tested this weird bug and found it was haphazard but the common denominator was ice, snow and possibly rain on a town a unit was located next to a port. AVs and AVLs could be launched, but transports couldn't. The icon (anchor) denoting a transport order for the unit in question would be greyed out.
Possible you have experienced this too.

Yes - its a little frustrating. Screwed me up in Japan and Europe a few times already too. Seems to be snow or rain - but not consistently.

Bizarrely you can choose Amphib or LR Amphib but not Transport.

Thanks Mike, yes that explains it. It has happened before to me as well. Hopefully rectified soon.
