RE: IMPORTANT
I'd say to take your time. There are very few real bugs in the game, but the AI on Axis side needs work, especially against players that do unhistorical things.
Multiplayer is important, but a good Axis AI means double the fun playtime in single player, because you can play as Germand and as Allied then!

I am back. Still trying to make the PBEM workaround work. Thanks to you we now know where to find and save the hotseat move files. Trouble is now, we cannot open the emailed move files because the password (which we have shared with each other) does not work. That is, we type in the p/w where requested and nothing happens.
Here's the drill we are on:
Player 1 starts a hotseat game and does not end the turn. Player 1 sends the turn to Player 2 who ends the move and when prompted to select a p/w to open the next turn, enters a p/w. Player 2 then sends the move back to player one.
Have any idea what we are doing wrong here?

I had that issue when using the same password for both sides.

Hello
A friend and I are still trying to get into a human vs human game via the PBEM workaround suggested in another thread.
Here's what we are doing.

Someone else suggested that we don't use passwords but that does not work either.
SO--if the person who posted the workaround is out there, it would be just awesome if he/she could provide a step by step description of how to make this approach work. Thought the PBEM feature would have been patched in by now, but since not, am still after getting part of the way towards human vs human play.
Thanks for any tips on this from those who have made it work.

As n0knok said we were hoping to start testing a week ago but hit some delays
We're sorry for the wait and that its taking longer than we first suggested but multiplayer is definitely coming

RE: IMPORTANT
I dunno which system You guys think to implement in mp (PBEM as in SC1), but gr8 example of mp gaming was Unity of command multiplayer style, can U make something like that working?
RE: IMPORTANT
The mp file exchange will be done through Slitherine's PBEM++ system. It is a proven and reliable system. Not sure what Unity of Command uses but the system being used for Strategic Command is the same great system used for Battle Academy, Panzer Corps, etc.

RE: IMPORTANT
Hi guys,
we've been hoping to release an update for the last 2 weeks but unfortunately it just hasn't happened. Hubert wasn't well and was working through and has just been diagnosed with pneumonia.
We've asked Hubert to stop trying to get anything done and take a break for Christmas and hopefully start the new year well and ready to update the game. We're sorry for the delay but really don't think Hubert pushing to try and deliver anything now makes sense for anyone.
We'll get a patch to you and multiplayer as soon as we can in the new year. Thanks for your understanding.
