I can't make up my mind

Post by ncc1701e »

I would like to do a scenario with:

1. One day turn
2. Division size with few regiments / battalions

What is the best scale to use in terms of the number of kilometers per hex?
What are your criteria for choosing it?

Thanks

10 km or more per hex. Criteria is simple, division is defending the 10 km of frontline.

Thanks. I have also found this that seems to confirm your numbers.

All right so I have made my calculation. 10km / hex will exceed the number of maximum hex.

What if I am taking Corps size scale plus few divisions.
What would be the best number of kilometers per hex?
Will one day turn still work?

I doubt it will exceed the max. What are you trying to fit?
The limit is 700x700 hexes, or 7000x7000 km. That will almost be enough to draw the entire African continent at 10km/hex.

You are right, thanks. The editor dialog states 300 but the actual limit is 700.
