Have you seen this or am I just really, really unlucky?

Observations (played on Hard with FOW)

1. Main armament breaks way to often/easily on vehicles? I have had this happen to half my tanks (and 1 never recovered after turn 1). I have seen it in a number of scenarios (playing both sides).

2. OOC on first turn - shouldn't the force be ready to go? Perhaps it could be an option for some scenarios (to reflect surprise).

3. OOC while engaged in combat (I know the adjacent hex issue is getting fixed in update) - A number of times, I have had vehicles and squads 2 hexes out and firing on approaching force suddenly go out of command (sometimes for multiple actions/turns). I find it unlikely that a whole squad firing on enemy in the open moving toward them would suddenly stop firing. Perhaps there should be a modifier to reflect if squad was engaged and has enemy forces in effective range nearby.

4. AI not taking shots when it should.

Curious to see if you guys are seeing this too.

Thanks -

1. It's unlikely, but not impossible. In a scenario with 9 Shermans, I had three of them acting as 30-ton self-propelled MGs since their MA was broken down for most of the time.
2. Why not - maybe someone is still figuring what they are supposed to do [;)]
3. I agree
4. Yes, I also think the AI should be more aggressive.

For 1. I agree - it can happen. I have not seen too many accounts that say, hey in the first minute of the engagement, half our tanks main guns stopped working (German or American). Of course, that could be because those guys all got brewed up since they could not defend themselves. Seriously though, I have read that the main gun of Shermans and most German tanks was very reliable. This should be a rare occurrence, it seems that weapons break too easily in combat in the game.

2. I get it - some confusion, but again - the number of units OOC on turn 1 should seems high. Maybe there could be a modifier for turn 1.
3 & 4 seem to be pretty well agreed upon.

Anyone else have thoughts or seeing the same things?

Thanks

1) Agree - I have had it happen so often that I sometimes pass up a shot to not break down my main armament so I will have it to use for a more important target.
2) Can live with it.
3) Agree
4) Agree - Playing on hard and on very hard, seems to happen more than enough to notice. Have held onto VP hexes as the defender vs AI attacker when they continue to fire from a short distance away and do not move to take the hex. It may be random though as sometimes the AI is very aggressive.
