According to stackoverflow.com posts, they recommend removing

C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

floydg,

Maybe you know what WITP-AE Dev teams future intent is concerning the PWSDLL7.DLL? The question was been posed by several people even since the 1127 beta came out and now with the "final" update sometime in the future, will the WITP-AE dev team provide a 64 bye version of the PWSDLL7.DLL with that release?

WITP-AE dev team created the 32 byte PWSDLL7.DLL that enables Tracker to read the WITP-AE save files and pull in the turn data. As long as the PWSDLL7.DLL remains 32 byte then Tracker has to remain on 32 byte java. Correct? If I remember right Nomad, before he passed away sometime after 1127 was released, ran Tracker on 64 byte java and the only thing that didn't work was being able to load data from the WIP-AE save files because of the 32 byte PWSDLL7.DLL.

Maybe you know but because of the legal and confidentiality agreements you've signed, you can't say if they could or would. But you've got the best line to the WITP-AE Devs to find out or get them to say if a 64 byte version of the PWSDLL7.DLL is possible or not.

While the game will play on 64 byte Windows 10/11 PC's without issue in the foreseeable future, I really wonder how much longer of a life 32 byte Java has. Especially, since Microsoft is hell bent on forcing everyone to Windows 11 this year, which for some(or a lot), means buying a new PC. As the market share of 64 byte machines increases (maybe dramatical this year), what's Suns incentive to keep 32 byte Java current with new security updates.

Is there anyway you could skip the registry check?

I'm unsure what you problem is but it's possible where Java is installed. On my system Java is installed here C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_441\. Tracker is installed here D:\Matrix Games\WitP AE 28. Both are the latest versions and I have done nothing special to get it to work, just downloaded and clicked install for Java, but chose the path for Tracker.

I recommend you completely remove Java and download the latest version. You do not need Java in the sama folder as Tracker which is what you seem to be trying to do and maybe the cause of you problems. Java should install into the C:\Program Files and/or Program Files (x86), mines in both. Technically I have no idea why I just installed it but it's easy to chack wjich and get Trackers .bat to point to it. Tracker anywhere you want but without Java.

Here's my .bat during first turn initialization.

D:\Matrix Games\WitP AE 28\Tracker J>del *db.*

D:\Matrix Games\WitP AE 28\Tracker J>"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_441\bin\Java" -Xms512m -Xmx768m -jar "WitPTracker.jar" nomap
Initializing WitP Tracker AE database.
WitP Tracker AE tables loaded in 2 seconds
WARNING: SigInt file <D:\Matrix Games\WitP AE 28\SAVE\jsigint.txt> has 0 days of intel in the file, but the turn cycle is 1.
WARNING: Operations file <D:\Matrix Games\WitP AE 28\SAVE\joperationsreport.txt> has 0 days of data in the file, but the turn cycle is 1.

As to creating an account with Java that is not true. I've just downloaded the latest version without logging on. Below is a pic of the java download page.

Moving the Java*.* stuff to the tracker directory was working for me for close to a decade now. I appreciate your input a lot, thank you, but I think the problem is with the registry check. I thought reinstalling Java might fix it but alas, it failed. So I seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. But thank you for trying at least. I remember asking a question but I don't remember getting an answer so maybe I need to ask it again. Is there some way to bypass the registry check?

Win11, 64 bit.

This is how my Tracker's Java path looks like. It accesses the 32bit Java in the Program Files (x86)\Java directory.

Thank you for that but what would have been more helpful is your registry entry for the JavaSoft Key. Just search for JavaSoft there's only one entry in the entire registry for it.

Searched for "JavaSoft" key with my MS Registry Editor. This is the only result found.

We didn't store that level of information. Sorry...
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

You can get that info by looking at pilot skills. Experience is boosted by skills training as well as missions flown and combat engaged in.

The best that you can probably get for the details of the experience gained in training and/or combat is to see what skills also increased during the month as well as the experience rating increase.

I am having a problem running tracker. I can copy and paste a picture of the error if needed but the main error being displayed is.

Cant load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64 bit platform.

I downloaded both versions of Java 8 - the x64 kernel and the x86 kernel to try to eliminate the error but that was unusucessful.

Running on a newer acer laptop.

I am running the 32-bit Java on a 64-bit laptop.

Here is my Tracker's starting screen with the 32-bit Java location.
