I think a claim Zero vs Wildcat would be more of a magnet. [:D]

geofflambert, that is a lame mdiehl magnet.

Two well known facts are true mdiehl magnets. 1) Zero was better plane than Wildcat, and 2) Japanese pilots in 1942 were better trained and more experienced than US pilots.

Gentlemen, please. I had my fights with mdiehl, years earlier than the most of you and now I usually try to ignore him, BUT this kind of mobbing isn´t funny at all.
One doesn´t need to repeat attack on attack just to show one doesn´t like mdiehl. Almost nobody does. But he has every right to his opinion and every right to be here.

I agree. It is time for this thread to go away.

Geofflambert, it is marginally acceptable to post things in response to what some consider trolling. I too am guilty of this. But ...

It is not acceptable to run threads for the purpose of dissing or annoying any person, or to promote dissing or annoyance of any person. This is a forum for discussion of War in The Pacific, Admiral's Edition. It is not Facebook or Chatty Kathy. Saying it's OT doesn't cut it. There is a place for that in the GD forum, up top.

This thread has been vetted up to Matrix. I trust it won't happen again.

Would be pleased if nobody else posts further.

Beer!

Great, a beer thread! I was out on the Maissel Weisse last night but currently my favourite is Eibauer dunkles, Saxony's dark art as they call it in the adverts. This guy likes it too.
