Do Fires at a Base Destroy Supply?

Does anyone know if Fires at a base destroy supply?

I am not clear on what you are asking. If you are asking about "firestorms" the manual says:
"Industry can only be destroyed by firestorms and
A-bombs, but can be damaged by any type of attack (including firestorms and A-bombs)."
So firestorms can destroy or damage industry that produces supplies.
If you are asking about fires on ships that happen to be in a port, I have not seen any rule that talks about that kind of fire impacting supplies. Of course a ship on fire could suffer additional damage while in port and even sink. That would destroy any supplies on the ship. Maybe someone else knows more than I.

What I am asking is: sometimes there are Fires at a base owing to an attack (various kinds of attacks cause Fires, such as naval bombardments, aerial bombing of Manpower, aerial bombing of the air base, aerial bombing of the port). Sometimes Fires are present at a base at the end of combat and can be seen by recon.

There are stockpiles of Supply at bases. Supply can be destroyed by Supply Hits from any source, such as naval bombardments, aerial bombing of the air base, aerial bombing of the port. Do Fires also destroy, or have a chance of destroying Supply?

My understanding is that fires do not destroy supply stockpiles at a base. I am not 100% sure though as I do not recall exactly what I learned (or from who - was it Alfred?) that made me adopt this assumption.

Fires target factories like light industry and engine/aircraft factories. They cut production but do not destroy anything that is already constructed like supply and airframes....GP
