I am an American so I sorta speak English and I have trouble at times understanding him. I can only imagine how difficult it is for a non-native speaker. in fact, over the last couple of days I have watched a few videos from English people and I have trouble understanding most of them. I don't know how else to explain it but their speaking sounds slurred and lazy or sleepy if that makes any sense. It does take effort.

I'm going to have to give up (at least temporarily). I can't play the game if I can't learn to play the game. I can't learn to play the game without tutorials that are completely understandable. The way the tutorials are now I can understand half of the narrative (at best). A printed copy/transcript of the tutorial narrative is absolutely necessary as far as I'm concerned. This is very frustrating.

You don’t really need those, just play the game it’s extremely intuitive. The mechanics are vastly simple to learn. The depth is in the strategic way to play it. There is no tutorial for that, that comes from the creative part of your brain.

Thanks, I'll give it another shot tomorrow. I hope you're right. It's $40 down the drain if things don't work out.

must admit i wasn't on the beta, had other projects on the go, so gave it a miss tbh, but got it yesterday and already i'm quite a way in and agree with Zovs tbh, if you have played any other counter moving game, you will or should be able to pick this up and play straight away and learn from playing, i have, and i'm useless at most games and still use the non nato counters, which make it much more playable for the beginners like me, once you have a few battles under your belt, it's as easy as any of the other counter moving games, and nowhere near as hard as WITE or west for that matter, then again i'm starting to now find both of those more playable as the update are making it more so

Sorry, not a big deal but can anyone tell me what he says from 3:47 to 3:51 in the supply video below? I have listened to it like 15 times and I can't figure it out, most of the time I can figure it out based on the context, but here I can not..

I would link to the video but the website is not letting me

Have you tried turning on the captions?

I guess, being British (English even), I have an advantage and don't have much problem following the narrator, although his accent is a little unusual and I do find him a little fast in places. It could be worse, at least he's not Glaswegian or Geordie! :-)

As Toby42 said, don't forget you can display captions. I'm used to turning subtitles on for some US films and TV programmes.

ah, good, idea. Thanks. I also figured it out eventually by listening more, but your suggestion is better. Anyway, I am done with the tutorials, and have parsed them all..

thanks!!
